tori amos'ın 2007'de verdiği new york konserinde maynard james keenan'ı "kendimi kötü hissettiğim zaman onu ararım ve o da bana ninniler söyler" diyerek taktim ettiği ve sonrasında piyanoyu konuşturttuğu güzide eser. gerçi insan bu takdimden sonra şarkının gerisine tam odaklanamıyor, hayal etmeye başlıyor; eline telefonu alıyorsun, maynard james keenan'ı arıyorsun, açıyor, "kendimi kötü hissediyorum" diyorsun ve o da sana ninniler söylüyor...

yahu bırak ninniyi, adam bana "höt" dese ben kalp krizine tutulurum... öyle de bir manyaklık, takıntı halinde yani. fakat işte tori abla ninni de söyletiyor, yanı başında şarkı da... bir de türlü çocukluklar, masumluklar bizim kel kafada...

velhasılı, güzide bir parçadır efendim, pek çok imge taşır çeşitli dinlerden.

ayrıca "arkadaşım muhammet"ten daha sıcak bir tamlama bilmiyorum...

boys for pele albümünden, dinsel ikonlarla bezeli bir tori amos şarkısı. şarkıda çarmıha gerilmiş maria magdelana'nın yanında muhammed'le çay içip sohbet etmektedir tori.

albüme adını veren pele de bu şarkıda geçmektedir ancak futbolcu pele ile uzaktan yakından bir alakası yoktur.
