bu kompozör abi; yıllarca bi dolu filme müzik yapmıştır, özellikle sawaş filmleri için hazırladığı müzikler dayanılmazdır, arşivliktir. zaten "sawaş müzikleri" demek bu abiyi hatırlamak için yeterlidir, bi "best of"u ile beni tawlayabilirsiniğz.

rambo serisi, star trek serisi, gremlins yine serisi, efenime söyliym, first knigt, powder, air force one, the mummy, basic instinct, mulan, la confidential filmlerinden de hatırlamak mümkün... zannımca oscar'a en çok aday gösterilen composerlerden biridir, fakat oscar'a yakın tanıdıkları olmadığından ödülü bi türlü wermezler bu canım abiye...

academy award-winning composer jerry goldsmith, who created the memorable music for scores of classic movies and television shows from the "star trek" and "planet of the apes" series to "the man from u.n.c.l.e." and "perry mason," has died, his personal assistant said.
he was 75.

goldsmith died in his sleep last night at his beverly hills home after a long battle with cancer, according to his personal assistant.

goldsmith was a classically trained composer and conductor who began musical studies at the age of 6 but his hollywood career spanned nearly half a century.

he won a 1976 academy award for best original score for "the omen" and also held five emmys.

his music can be heard in everything from the action film "totall recall" to comedies, epics and dramas.

he wrote the themes for television shows, including "doctor kildare" and "barnaby jones."

goldsmith also wrote a fanfare that is used in academy awards telecasts.

the ghost and the darkness filmine yaptığı müzikler özellikle olağanüstüdür ama pek beğenilmemiş bir film olduğu için (kısmen michael douglas'ın kıcının kenarıyla rol kesmesi nedeniyle basarısız olmus bir filmdir. o kadar ki val kilmer bile kurtaramamıstır) muzikleri de pek bilinmemekte, gereken hayranlıgı uyandıramamaktadır.
