1979 yılında japonya'da yayınına başlanan mecha animesi. ilk olarak mobile suit gundam serisi yayınlanmıştır. o zamanlar hakim olan super robot akımının aksine real robot akımını çıkartarak daha sonra bir çok çizer/yazarı etkilemiştir. tabi mazinger z gibi super robotlara alışkın olan japon gençliği aniden ortaya çıkıp savaş, entrika, aşktan bahseden bu animeyi önemsememiştir ve şiddet içeren bu animeyi doğal olarak aileler izlettirmek istememiştir. zaten ilk yayınlanışında pek ilgi de görmez. ama bandai, gundam'ın robotlarının maketlerini japonya'da piyasaya sürdüğü gibi bir nevi patlama yaşanır ve seri tekrar yayınlanır ve tekrar ve tekrar... bu ilginin ardından doğal olarak yeni seriler gelmelidir... gelmiştir de zaten. ve her defasında daha yeni bir senaryo, yeni yüzler gelir. fakat savaşın kötü yüzünü acımasızca gösterme misyonundan asla vazgeçmez gundam yazarları. tabi aşktan da... bu şekilde seri devam ederken bir türlü abd'de tanınanamaz çünkü ne dublaj ne altyazı yapılmıştır gundam için... ta ki 90'ların sonunda abd'de yayınına başlanan gundam serilerine kadar. zaten o da patlama noktası olur ve gundam bir anda tüm dünyada tanınır. bu tanınmışlığın da etkisiyle her ne kadar bir ara mecha'lara ağırlık verip senaryoyu boşlasalar da bu çok kısa sürer ve esas formuna geri dönerek, yeni fanları kaybetme pahasına yoluna devam eder. öyle ki, bir serideki baş karakteri kürdistan cumhuriyetinde büyümüş olarak bile tanıtırlar... ira'ya dikkat çekerler. gundam,macross gibi çok insani vaziyetlere veya evangelion gibi aşırı ölçüde aksiyona yönelmez... ikisinin arasını gayet iyi bulur. genel teması dünya ve koloniler arasındaki uzun savaştır.

1979 yapim tarihli orjinal serinin 30. yil kutlamalari cercevesinde tokyo'ya orjinal boyutlarda bir gundam robotu^* heykeli dikmistir fantastik japonlar. simdi soruyorum size sevgili yazarlar, hanginiz bu memlekette yasayip isine, okuluna gider gelirken dev robotlarin yanindan gecmek istemez? seviyorum bu adamlari.^*

heykeli dikilesi bir anime oldugunu hatta öyle de yapildigini daha önce belirtmistim (bkz: #16332329) fakat bir noktada yanilmisim, japonlarin yaptigi sey siradan bir heykel degilmis.

kismen hareket edip efektler yapan model diyecekler olacaktir, fakat benim düstügüm tuzaga düsmeyin, aldanmayin, adamlar bildigin gundam robotunu yapip ortaya koymus bizi yiyorlar model diye. kuzey kore bir daha nükleer deneme yapiyorum dediginde hepimiz görecegiz nasil gidip dümdüz ediyor ülkeyi. hatta sansliysak oradan kisa bir usa turu yapip robotlara cektirdigi iskenceden ötürü michael bayin üstüne basip dönmesine bile tanik olabiliriz.

odaiba'daki modelin yeni mekanı higashi-shizuoka istasyonu yakınları olmuş, 24 temmuzdan itibaren de ziyarete açılıyormuş. yeni yeri tokyo'ya biraz uzak olsa da, giderken yolda belki fujisan da görülebilir.

japon illerinde bunun hayranlari genelde yasini basini almis 30-40'larinda salaryman agirlikli erkek surusudur.
tv'de bu yas grubuna hitap eden ayda bir muhakkak yeni bir markaya/urune kayan gundam icerikli yeni reklam peydah olur.
akihabara'da da gundam cafe diye asortik bir tematik kafe vardir... oy oyyyy!

pre-voltran olarak adlandirilabilecek, 80lerde ortaya cikmis (daha once bile olabilir) ilk dogru duzgun anime dizilerinden biridir. cocuklara yonelik gibi gelse de ilk bakista, aslinda bir ilk olmasi nedeniyle yeni bir cigir acmistir (tabii ki 60ini gecmis birinin anime seyretmesi beklenemez, ancak 20 yas kitlesini de etkiledigi bir gercek)

bi milyon tane filmi dizisi ile beynimi sikmis ee evren. sira mira bakmadan hangisi once hangisi sonra dikkat etmeden ordan burdan hepsini izledigim icin bi turlu kavrayamadigim evrendir.. en son birileri oldu mu olmedi mi, kim kazandi kim kaybetti noldu amina koyim bilmiyorum...
