tam adı "turning point -science, society and the rising culture-" olan, 1982 yılında yayınlanan fritjof capra eseri. türkçeye batı düşüncesinde dönüm noktası adı ile mustafa armağan tarafından çevrilmiştir.

kitap esas olarak günümüz dünyasında her alanın bir tıkanma yaşadığını -tarihsel sürecini göz önünde bulundurarak- ifade etmekte, mevcut sorunların ve gelişimin ancak bir paradigma değişimi ile mümkün olacağını savunmaktadır. bu yeni paradigmayı da uzak doğunun (bkz: taoizm) mistik ve felsefi kavrayışında bulmaktadır. mekanistik anlayışa mesafeli olan, holistik ve ekolojik görüşe ilgi duyan herkesin okumasını-okutmasını tavsiye ederim.
