mark knopfler usta'nın aşmış albümünün aşmış şarkısı. morrison'la birlikte düet yapmıştır. bu adamı kimin yanına koysan onunla düet yapsa, harika şeyler çıkıyor. nitekim country kraliçesi emmylou harris'le de düet yapmıştır. bir diğer hatırladığım da chet beker'la yaptığı albümdür. ragpicker's dream albümünün girişindeki "why aye man" de dire straits'in sahneye giriş parçasıdır ayrıca.

bir abimiz, bu adamı dinlerken rakı bile içilir demişti. galiba bu o tarz şarkılardan biri.

'mizahi yapilamaz' denilen holocaust/naziler hakkinda komedi yapmis mel brooks'un da dahil oldugu komedyenlerin, nazi toplama kampindan sag kurtulanlarin konu hakkindaki yorumlari ile toplama kamplari kurbanlarinin bile mizahi hayatta kalma ve direnme araci olarak kullandiklarini gormek acisindan ilginc bir belgesel olmus.

holokost gibi, 9/11 gibi vahsetlerin mizahi yapilir mi? yapilirsa ne zaman yapilir? sorularina cevap olarak ustunden ne kadar zaman gectigi ile alakali deyip, yazili olmayan "too soon" kuralindan bahsediyorlar. tabularla ilgili şaka yapacaksanız, çok iyi bir şaka olsun diyorlar.
