film fragmanı başlar başlamaz müziklerini onun yaptığını anlayabildiğiniz başarılı ostlere sahip sanatçı, benzer uslubü sanırım en iyi bu yönde kendini belli etmektedir.

başarılı film müziklerine imza atmış 1953 los angeles doğumlu müzik adamı. titanic filmiyle 2 oscar kucaklamıştır, ayrıca hariçten "bildiğim kadarıyla" 5 oscar adaylığı daha vardır. diğer kazandığı ödülleri ve adaylıklarını burada sıralamak epeyce sürer. şahsen çok beğendiğim film müzikleri arasında "titanic, braveheart, iris, enemy at the gates, apollo 13, legens of the fall, the pelican brief vs. vardır. bazen film izlediğimde, "aa müzik james horner'ın tarzına ne kadar benziyor" dediğim ve sahiden de müziği yapanın o olduğunu gördüğüm çok olmuştur. ama yine de inanılmaz takdir ettiğimi belirtmeliyim. ayrıca hans zimmer ve howard shore isimlerini de burada belirtmeden edemeyeceğim.

daha önce de dikkat çekildiği gibi, bazı parçalarda kendisini tekrar etmeyi seven bir üstadımızdır. avatar soundtrackinde artık klasik haline gelmiş braveheart, titanic ve her ne kadar pek başarılı sayılmasa da troy ve enemy at the gates'den ezgilere rastlanabilir.

sözlük bünyesinde de bolca bahsedildiği üzere, son dönem çalışmalarının hemen hepsinde aynı 4 notadan oluşan motifi kullanan bestecidir. bu 4 notalı motiv sergey rahmaninov'a ait. başlarda bilmiyordum, sonraları "ulan saygı duruşu heralde" demeye başladım, ama artık boku çıktı. bu motifi kullandığı ve benim farkına vardığım filmler; enemy at the gates, troy, perfect storm (tam emin değilim), avatar ve son olarak the boy in the striped pyjamas.

son derece zor koşullar altında oturup bir haftada yaptığı aliens soundtrack'ine hasta olduğum, braveheart'ını belki 100'lerce kez dinleyip ezberlediğim bir adam james horner. ama titanic'le birlikte kendisine ne olduysa artık -ki tahminim; şeytan'ın, ruhunu saklı tuttuğu yumurtayı afiyetle yediği yönünde, gayet iş bilir ve tecrübeli ancak özgün olmaktan öylesine uzak, eski eserlerinin yaratıcılığından yoksun ve sürekli kendini tekrar eden bir besteciye dönüştü. piyasada james newton howard, michael giacchino, harry gregson williams ve hans zimmer gibi isimler varken işinin eskiye nazaran çok daha zor olduğu bir gerçek...

kendini tekrar etmeyi seven bir müzisyen.

geçenlerde bicentennial man izliyorum... farkettim ki tınılar bildiğin a beautiful mind theme'indekinin aynısı, açtım baktım kim yapmış soundtracki diye; james horner, yani a beautiful mind soundtracki yapan adam. neyse dedik olur böyle şeyler. ardından da bir apollo 13 patlatayım dedim, ama gelin görün ki main theme'in girişi glory soundtrackindeki alakalı parçanın aynısı. yine, iki soundtrack de kendisine ait.

sorun acaba bende mi diye merak etmekteyken baktım ki başkaları da altını çizmiş bu durumun...

bu arkadaş dururken, hans zimmer'a laf ederler bir de "parçaları birbirine benziyor" diyerek.

rev.3: az önce amazing spiderman(2012) izlerken, yukarıda verdiğim örneklerdeki melodiyi bir kez daha kullandığını farkettiğim adam. ilgili sahneye kadar soundtrack'i james horner'ın yaptığını düşünüyordum, melodiyi duyunca kesinleşti... artık imza falan mı atmaya çalışıyor o ezgilerle, yoksa harbiden yeni birşey bulamıyor mu emin değilim.

muzik yapamayan adam. daha dogrusu, sahnelere veya filmin konseptine uygun muzik yapamayan adamdir. amazing spider mande "a beatiful mind", "titanic" ve "avatar" ezgilerini birebir kullanmis resmen ya. film super kahramnla ilgili ama hissedemiyorsunuz muziklerde onu. sahneler kurtariyor allahtan.

filmografisinde braveheart ve titanic gibi iki kült film müziği barındırsa da hans zimmer'in eline su dökebilecek bir kişi değildir.

yıllardır dinledigim braveheart gibi mukemmel bir soundtrackten sonra gidip o berbat cekilmis troy filmine yine berbat bir duzenlemeyle soundtrack yapan muzisyen. troy filmindeki zamansız gerilimleri, cogu anlamsız gazları standart melodilerle iyice desteklemis, zaten zor izlenen filmi bir de dinlemez hale getirmistir. diger yandan bir zamanlar yapmıs oldugu braveheart filminin muziklerindeki ezgiler hala savas ve tarihi konular iceren filmlerin tanıtım (bkz: trailer) muziklerinde kullanılmaktadır.
