olay örgüsünün satır aralarında japon eğitim sistemi, gençlik profilleri, arkadaşlık, suç ve muhasebesi gibi mevzular yer alıyor. her bir karakterin ağzından yazılmış bölümlerde, arkadaşlık ilişkisi içerisinde bir insanı gerçekten tanımak ne kadar mümkündür sorusunu sorduruyor kirino.

her bir romanında bir tarafından toplumsal yapılara girmeyi seviyor yazar ve bunu çok da göze sokmadan, okuyucuyu hemencecik yakalayan bir yapıyla gerçekleştiriyor. bir edebiyat şaheseri olmasa da, gayet sürükleyici.

world music isminin ortaya cikmasi ile real world'un ortaya cikmasi yaklasik ayni zamanlarda olmustu ve bu yeni hareketin, en goz onundeki simgesi olmustu plak sirketi (80'lerin sonu). ilk yayinladiklari album last temptations of christ albumunun soundtrack'i niteligindeki passion albumuydu. bence hala sirketin cikardigi en iyi 3-5 albumden biri bu. nusrat fateh ali khan, afro celt sound system, sheila chandra, geoffrey oryema, sirketten album cikaran onemli isimlerden bazilari. plak sirketinin yani sira, londra'da studyosu, multimedya sirketi vs. de var real world organizasyonunun.
real world'un albumlerinin kapaklarinda, dunyanin 9 bolgesini simgeleyen 9 renk bulunur. bu sayede, cd'lerin arasinda secmek kolaydir real world albumlerini. dunyanin dort kosesindeki bilinmeyen muzikleri, guzel kapakli albumlerle yayinlamalari takdire deger, ama bu surecte, sanki muzikler otantikliklerinden cok sey yitiriyorlar, steril, batililar icin prezentabl hale getiriliyorlar. hepsi boyle degil tabii ( nusrat'in party'siyle yaptigi geleneksel qawwali albumleri ornegin) ama bir elestiri olarak, haklilik payi da var.
