ing.anlamak manasına gelen kelime. ingilizce under ve stand olarak iki ayrı anlam ifade ettiği ve bu anlamların kelimeyle bir bağdaşması olmadığı içinde hazırlık sınıflarında öğrencinin biri hocam ben understand kelimesini anlamıyorum neyin altında ayakta duruyoruz da anlamak oluyor gibisinden bir soru yöneltmiş olduğu rivayet edilip hocanın da bunu derste espiri mahiyetinde sunup dersi yumuşatmak edasına girdiği kelimedir aynı zamanda.
