bob dylan'in, hollies sing dylan albumunde yer alan tek parca. western filmlerinde gormeye asina oldugumuz bar ortamlarinda soylenip/oynanan country tarzindadir.

sozlerini yazayim da bir bourbon ismarlayin di mi canlarim:

$arki ilk 64' teki the times they are a changin albumunde yayinlanmi$tir. daha sonra the bootleg series volume 1-3' te kar$imiza cikip the 30th anniversary concert celebration toplamasinda the clancy brothers tarafindan inanilmaz lezzetli bir $ekilde yorumlanmi$tir. clancy karde$lerin bu konser icin taa irlandalardan ucup geldigi soylenmektedir.
hatta ve hatta bi miktar daha lyric sahibi $arkidir, fazlasini bulana da yuzbin lira verecegimdir.

dylan, bu isyan şarkısını 1963'te joan baez ile gittiği bir otelde, görevlinin kendisinin "sefil" görünüşünden dolayı içeriye almak istemeyişine öfkeyle ve ancak baez'in kendisine kefil olmasıyla girdiği otel odasında yazıverir. (bkz: no direction home). ayaküstü yazılan bu şarkıda, kitab-ı mukaddes ve başka kutsal metinlere şık göndermeler mevcuttur.

şarkı dylan'ın üçüncü albümü the times they are a-changin''de yer alacaktır. ancak dylan ve baez şarkıyı ilk kez, martin luther king jr.'in öncülük ettiği ve meşhur i have a dream konuşmasını da yaptığı march on washington for jobs and freedom yürüyüşünde birlikte söylerler. bu görüntüler için şuradan buyurunuz.

o gün bugündür de, müzik muhafazakarı bünyelere bile kendisini sevdirecek pek güzel coverları yapılmıştır bu şahane şarkının.
