benim için yılın en iyi thrash albümlerinden biri olmuştur. " içinde endüstriyel öğeler var, hardcore zırzavat var ben böyle thrash istemem" diyenler için albümü baştan sona hele bir dinlemelerini tavsiye ediyorum. hoşuma giden bir nokta; the great satan'ın anvili hatırlatır bir soundu var. ama albümde palestina diye bir şarkı var ki..zaten bu entiri de bu şarkı eşliğinde yazılmıştır. ^{* *}

ministry'nin industrial, thrash metal, hard core ve punk'i harmanladigi manyak bir albumu. bir onceki albumlerinin (houses of the mole) yolundan devam ederek gene politik bir tat katmislar albume ve george bush'a acaip gecirmisler. metal hammer'in dedigi gibi "... with 'rio grande blood' al jourgensen drives a bulldozer right through the white house", aynen ben de katiliyorum. grubun web sayfasinda album hakkinda yazdigi uzere : "if 9/11 was the reichstag fire, then rio grande blood is d-day: an all-out aural assault against the occupying forces of demagoguery and complacency. a savage, blistering and unforgiving onslaught of industrial metal dissent on american foreign policy, jingoistic patriotism, war for oil and the greed of a few at the cost of millions".

album tasarimindan baslayalim ilk once; buram buram punk tarzi tasarim kokuyor album kapakcigi. politik soylemlerini genel bir sekilde yansitan, kes yapistir seklinde dizayn edilmis. houses of the mole'un stilinde devam etmisler aslinda. kapakcigi acar acmaz koskoca bir "liberty and justice for oil" yazisi okunuyor. manipule edilmis ozgurluk heykeli, hz isa, meryem ana, george bush, petrol kuyusu, dolar vs resimleri ile duzenlenmis, orijinal olmasa da hos bir cd kapakcigi dizayni.

kapagi bos verelimde muzige bakalim biraz. ministry'nin industrial muzigi heavy metal tarzinda icra ettigi zaten bilinen bir seydi de, bir iki yerdeki drum looplari, elektronik sesler, samplelar falan olmasa resmen "thrash metal albumu lan bu!" diyecegim, industrial ile alakasi yok nerdeyse. soundlari daha hayvani olmus bir onceki albumlerine gore, hemen hemen ayni elemanlarla calismis gene jourgensen. zaten 2003 yili albumleri animositisomina'dan beri soundlarini gitgide sertlestiriyorlardi, al jourgensen yaslandikca cosuyor herhalde. ama bu olumlu bir elestiri, bayagi tuttum bu albumdeki soundlarini sahsen. kizginlik ve hiddet bu kadar iyi aktarilabilir muzige. gene her tasin altindan (vokal, gitar, sampling, drum programming, keyboards vs. vs.) jourgensen cikiyor albumde ama kendisine bu sefer killing joke'un bassisti paul raven, prong'un gitaristi tommy victor'da eslik etmis (gonul isterdeki paul barker tekrar geri donseydi gruba ama oyle bir ihtimal hic mi hic gozukmuyor). albumun acilis ve isim sarkisi rio grande blood, fear (is big business), lieslieslies, the great satan, palestina ve ass clown hemen goze, aman kulaga batan sarkilar.

fazla yoruma luzum yok, ministry gene hayvani bir album yapmis, al jourgensen gene aynen yoluna devam. yol dedik de su an masterbatour 2006 turnesiyle mesgul kendileri, temmuz agustos'da avrupa festivallerini dagitacaklar sanirim. mumkun olsa da gorebilsek.

kesinlikle yılın en iyi endüstriyel - thrash - hardcore albümleri arasına girecek muhteşem bir albüm olmuş yine, türün en sağlam kalelerinden ministry'den de bu beklenirdi zaten.
