rocky graziano'nun hayatını anlatan 1956 yapımı film. başrollerde paul newman ve pier angeli var. aynı zamanda steve mcqueen'i de ufak bir rolde görmek mümkün. the fighter'ın 1950 modeli gibi düşünülebilir. rocky graziano ve micky ward'ın hayatlarında benzer noktalar görülebiliyor. hatta ikisinin de ünvan maçı birbirinin kopyası.

oldukça hızlı ilerleyen film belki günümüz izleyicisine yabancı gelebilir ama dolu senaryo ve iyi oyunculuklar için izlenmeli, tavsiye ederim. bir de filmi izledikten sonra yaptığım ufak araştırmada başrol için önce james dean'in düşünüldüğünü, ancak zamansız kaybından dolayı rolün paul newman'a gittiğini gördüm. her ne kadar paul newman'ı rolde harika bulsamda; james dean'i rocky graziano rolünde gözümde canlandırabiliyorum, sanırım çok yakışırdı.

çocukluğundan beri her türlü pisliğe bulaşan, hapishanelerde yatan rocky graziano'nun yeni bir hayata başlamaya karar verdikten sonra orta sıklette tepeye çıkmasını konu alan güzel bir film.

filmde paul newman'ın annesini canlandıran eileen heckart, newman'dan sadece 6 yaş büyükmüş.
