gary barlow'un take that grubundan ayrıldıktan sonra 1998 yılında çıkardığı ilk solo albümüdür. ayrıca albüme adını veren hoş bir pop parçasıdır. şarkının sözlerinden gruptan ayrılması ve kariyerine solo devam etmesine dair imalar çıkarılabiliyor. sözler şöyle;

ilk gençlik yıllarımda birlikte mutlu mesut günler geçirdiğimiz avon ürünü parfüm. ama ansızın bir gün, acı haber avoncu teyzelerimizden geldi. open road artık hayatımızda yoktu...

bu içinde arthur, mary, bruce, mr steele, mrs harrison gibi karakterlerin de olduğu bi ingilizce ders kitabı serisinin son kitabıydı sanırım.. starting out, getting on, turning point, open road.. evet.. geçenlerde buldum orta son kitabımı da üstüne o kadar çok resim karikatür ıvır zıvır çizmişim ki kullanılmaz hale gelmiş..
