lord of the rings'in collectors edition dvd setleri gibi bir setin çıkması da planlanmaktadır, bu versiyonda 80 sayfalık bir kitap ve neo'nun küçük bir büstünün olacağına dair söylentiler de mevcuttur.

tr altyazılı ibaresinin küllen yalan olduğu dvd setidir. türkiye'de yayınlanan versiyonunda 10 diskin sadece 3 adedinde (onlar da herkesin kare kare bildiği filmlerdir) tr altyazı bulunmaktadır. geriye kalan 7 diskte ise 72 milletin altyazısı bulunup tr altyazı bulunmamaktadır. (ulan bari animatrix'e koysaydınız. bu kadar baştan savma iş mi olur?) sonuç olarak yabancı dil bilmeyen (türkçe'den başka hangisi olursa olur) meraklıların uzak durmaları, yabancı dil bilenlerinse r1 versiyonlarını edinmesi daha makuldur.
