katılımcılara, çok satmasına bakmaksızın onları en çok etkileyen, en beğendikleri albümler soruldu. ilginç sonuçlar çıktı. mesela tarihteki en çok satan albüm olan "eagles: the greatest hits" listeye bile giremedi. seçmenler arasında metallica, red hot chilli peppers, u2 gibi gruplardan müzisyenler ve britney spears da yer alıyor. oyların sayımı ise uluslararası muhasebe ve danışmanlık şirketi ernst&young tarafından hazırlanan bir sistemle yapıldı.

1 "sgt. peppers lonely heart club band" the beatles-(1967)
grubun 13 şarkılık bu albümü grup üyelerinin performansı, müzikleri ve
şarkı sözleriyle rock&roll tarihinin en iyi albümü olarak nitelendiriliyor.
albüm aynı zamanda the beatles'ın tarzında ve felsefesindeki köklü

5 "rubber soul"-the beatles-(1965)
albümün yapımcısına göre yeni beatles'ı dünyaya tanıtan albüm. "rubber
soul"da "norwegian wood" (ilk kez bir pop şarkısında sitar çalınmıştı) gibi
duygusal şarkılara rastlanıyor. george harrison "bu en iyi albümümüz, daha

6 "what's going on"-marvin gaye-(1971)
albüm başlarda motown tarafından kabul edilmemiş, içindekilere kötü

imho: kesinlikle tekrar derlenip; bu çağda artık iyice kafa siker gelmiş olan, 1936 yapımı king of the delta blues singers gibi artık kimsenin dinlemediği bir dolu tarih öncesi blues albümünün çıkarılması gereken listedir

tamam rock blues'dan evrimleşmiştir ama rock ataları külliyatında en fazla elvis'e kadar tahammül edilebiliyor. daha evveli sinir sıkıntı yapıyo
