wilson pickett'ın bu şarkıya yaptığı cover mükemmeldir. orijinalini beşe altıya katlayıp eve gönderir o derece. bu arada böyle saçma (gavurların sappy veya cheesy dediği) sözler insanın niye diline dolanır anlamam.

pickett amcanın çığırtmalı vokaliyle daha bir anlam kazanmıştır benim için, mesela;

70'lerin klasiklerinden... bu şarkıya baktığınızda, aslında gayet basit sözler ve kendini sürekli olarak tekrarlayan bir melodi ile karşılaşırsınız. da dat da da da dit dat şeklinde, tam korna melodisi olacak bir havası vardır. ama diğer yandan da, bir ortaokul çocuğunun aşkını ilan etmek için sevgilisine yazdığı son derece başarısız bir şiire benzer. hem saftır, hem şirindir, hem de ilan-ı aşk etmek için yeterlidir. nedenleri/niçinleri sıradan bile olsa, severim bu şarkıyı.
