bir thrash metal grubu olan mordred'in sıradışı albümü. metalciliğimin ilk yıllarında "peeh bu ne beyav scratchler falan" diye pek önemsemeyip aynı grubun fool's game albümü ile huzuru bulmuştum. aradan yıllar geçtikten sonra gördüm ki gerçekten metal piyasasında eşine az rastlanır ve müzikal olarak da oldukça başarılı bir albüm. insanın kanını kaynatan funk ritimler ve ve kaliteli albüm kaydı dinlenirliği artıran faktörler. orijinal cdsine sahip olduğum için de kendimi şanslı hissediyorum. ama yine de fool's game döver. o kadar...

mordred'in 1991 tarihli ikinci albümü. müzikal anlamda faith no more^** ve red hot chili peppers^* kadar esnek ve yaratici olmasa da, güzel melodiler, simarik vokaller, löngür löngür baslar, cic-cic-cic-cic gitarlar, yer yer ufak samplelar ve scratchlerle costurucu, bütünlüklü, güzel bir funk metal çalismasidir -ki o zamanlarda metal sinirlari içinde scratch duymak iyice alisilmadik bir durumdur. vokalist scott holderby de çok önemli bir faktördür bu albümün basarisinda, fakat fena halde mike patton'dan etkilenmis oldugu besbellidir ve teknigiyle ancak onun alt kümelerinden biri^* olabilecek potansiyeldedir. bu da, tüm güzelligine ragmen, müzigin genel sinirliligiyla uyum içindedir. dolayisiyla, basta bahsi geçen iki grubun o yillarda yayinlanmis albümleri kadar ardarda dinlenmeyi kaldirmaz, yorar. tek atimlik oldugunda sahanedir.
